i think maybe it was time for Wagoner to be gone, time for too see what Fritz Henderson has.

Its hard hearing it called the "Obama Administration" now. Like Grady said it doesnt sound good when the Gov steps in like that.

why dont they just take over gm. when u start telling companies who can and cant run them it starts looking more and more like a dictatorship. i for one hate the govt we have running this country now.

 

The govt acting as a bank is allowed to give stipulations for the loads of money they are lending....just like venture capitalists or any other bank. What other options are there? Rick W already stated he wouldn't file Chapter 11, but rather Chapter 7 and liquidation (probably bluffing, but still). So the options are dump billions into GM until the economy turns around, whenever that is, have GM liquidate and have tons of unemployed people, a crash in the entire auto market which aids the already failing economy & recession etc., or this.
