you know I was pretty pissed, I was in a nice residential area and nobody came out of their house to see if the guy screaming "F" "S" "MF" and such needed any help! I mean if I saw somebody with their hood up and struggling I think I would at least ask if they were ok....people these days just don't look out for their neighbors.

Actually it was my A/C belt... doin bout 125 one night and all of a sudden the AC started blowing hot.... sure enough, belt was shredded.. Found one peice on my turbo..

What a pain. If the neighbors did come out of their house they would probably tell you to move the truck in 1/2 hour or they will have it towed, instead of offering help.

If I designed a new tensioner I would put a 'top out' spring on it. So when it slams the stop the spring would absorb the energy instead of the metal on metal collision. How many of these break? Maybe I should go into business.

no kidding...the force must be something incredible, that belt was more than snug. I gave it a good inspection while I had it in my hands and it is still in great condition after 20K miles.
