Exclamation Tuning Problems...

I have had a mail order tune from one of them >>>>> for quite sometime now and have recently decided to make the change to tune myself or go to someone local so i can receive better customer service. My satisfaction as a customer is well....not satisfied one bit. Waiting for upto a month for a retune is rediculous, especially when you let your tuner know a week ahead of time what you will be starting so he can have a tune ready when you are finished. As in my case, I contacted my tuner 3 weeks ago letting him know i needed an unlocked pcm sent to me so i can tune it when i was done with my build. After that I bought the engine, built it, swapped out the old 5.3 with the fresh 6.0 and after i was finished...there sits my truck STILL without the pcm i asked for a month ago. This is no way to run a bussiness in my opinion. Im tired of unanswered phone calls, texts, emails, PMs, and all of the above. I tried to get a live tune from him once when i was going to be in his area, but he never returned any of my phone calls or emails for two weeks. If you are considering a mail order tune i would suggest go to someone local with good customer service for a live/dyno tune or buy a handheld if u want to stay bolton because i had more progress with it than i have had with my current tuner. This is the third time i have had the being ran around and ignored experience while wating on a retune from my tuner and the last. I would like to know everyone elses experiences with their tuner; good or bad; and if they received good customer service. Im not naming names as to whom my tuner is, but you get the idea.

RANT OVER

LOL--You will be happy with a dyno tune and that plate kit w/75 shot sounds like something I had at one time?

BTW Boosted Blue, sorry to hear you are having this issue with your tuner but moving forward and learning to tune yourself will save you big headaches in the end.

It isn't sponsor feedback yet and I get the impression the OP doesn't want to name names..

My tuner is local and happens to be one of my best friends, it works out great. Even if I just wanna check stuff out and make a log and make sure everything is good it's never a problem with him! Mail order tuning is better than handhelds for sure but it's still a ball park tune, every motor runs different, no 2 are alike and mailorder just kinda ball parks everything in IMO.
and I know for a fact there is 1 mailorder tuner that tunes things the wrong way, im not going to say who it is and im not going to say how I know this but it's true and this tuner is known well.
