In stores soon.
I agree and insist that laws are made to govern people which the government feels incapable of governing themselves.
We the people must be a bunch of dumbasses.

How else are they gonna pay for all these 2 and a half day work weeks state govt workers work? and the full pensions they get after 20 years of kinda working? gotta get the money somewhere. they can only tax us so much before the people revolt. fortunately for them, MADD pushes hard for stiffer and stiffer penalties for lighter and lighter infractions. Not that I'm cold hearted to all the victims of drunk driving accidents, I am completely sympathetic towards the pain they and their surviving family and friends have endured. but it gets taken to far. here it's .08 = dui, open intox = pay a fine. but from what you OKies are saying, -.08 DWI? thats outrageous. i stayed on Tinker AFB for a while, glad i didn't learn that one the hard way. moral of the story, all comes down to the allmighty dollar. cause and solution of every issue.

here in TN its a .05 BAC level for a DUI. but if you have a open container, its also an automatic dui.

not sure if it applies to anyone on here but the laws are different and MUCH stricter if you have a CDL or even just commercial plates/tags

**edit** read article

Getting people in a hotel bar too!!!!!

Someone, be it the police or state or whoever woulda been getting a lawsuit on that one.

Public intoxication is against the law and there are valid reasons for that. Some guys get drunk and lose control of their temper - so it doesn't matter if they have a room 3 floors up - they are still a danger to the general public.

Now, with that said, I can go to bars and get drunk and not cause trouble The number one reason people go to jail for public intoxication is because they don't keep their mouth shut

NO doubt about it, some people get crazy when they get drunk. but what happend in the situation on that article was basically a Bust. they went from bar to bar arresting people.

The article seemed to focus on PI being an invitation for DWI's - so it's hard to argue whether the folks were making fools of themselves or just getting sloshed quietly. Many cops will leave you alone, even knowing you are drunk, if you just shut up

Josh, are you aware that many citizens in PA interpret the law as meaning no open beverage containers (as in anything at all) One of my instructors brought this up and I have found it to be true... Kinda funny.

Dumbasses think you cant drink pop and drive a car cuz its a open container..
