Correct me if I'm wrong but they are only 'assembled" here, most if not all manufactured parts are shipped in, then they use us for labor (more of a marketin ploy), then ship the profits back to Japan. This sound about right and don't bring any other brand into this discussion, just askin bout toyota for now.

its a little over half of parts are from usa. when we get the vehicles in, there is a sticker on them that tells you what percentage of the parts are from where. its usually either 50/50 or 100% usa parts.

you back working for toyota stew?

That goes against what I have been told, have any proof to that? Sounds too high IMO, hell from what I gather real American vehicles barely have that anymore

Get real people. The profits go back to Ming lo. Built in Texas by Texas is a very smart marketing ploy and smart move on their part.

Oh and coban, I'm sure it was like a million

short of me going out and taking a picture of every vehicle's manufacture sticker that comes through our processing center, then no. I can only speak for our facility. We do around 200-250k cars a year, so it is a small number compared to the units made in the US every year, but our facility is the only one in the US that does every single toyota model. Im just going by what we get off the trains every day

Well I'm glad ya'll have jobs to support yourselves and the local economy BUT I sure do wish it was for a 100% American owned company, with 100% American manufactured parts and all profits stayed here in the USA. Thats the sort of comapny that should be havin a day named after them. Lettin them into nascar, havin days named after them, all that does is just further engrain them into our culture givin them a stronger foothold to propser and closes the door to true American companies. I am glad they are givin jobs to ya'll though, it's just a double edged sword IMO.
