I lived in Altus about three years ago - southwest Oklahoma, if anyone is wondering. It was the same way around there. I don't know what's worse, the sandy dirt or the clay. It's all a mess when it gets soaked. I put in many hours on the dirt roads around Altus and the surrounding area. I didn't mind the roads when they were dry, but once the were wet then going down them wasn't an option.
