Thinking of a travel trailer
Not sure if I really want one, kind of looking at my next vacation and trailer is very appealing. Thinking light weight 4000lbs to 5000lbs dry and adding another 1000-2000 of useless crap. Thinking I want to stay with a smaller 20-25ft with a single queen bed that can be walled off (keep dogs off bed). The main thing is being able to take the dogs on a trip and have more outdoor experience (with a restroom for the wife).
Now onto the actual questions, looking at 2-3 trips at 2000+ miles and the cost to haul a trailer. Looks like the extra cost will be $200-300 more to have the trailer. RV parking costs vs hotel, any real savings?
Looking for advice on cost? is it cheaper to RV? I'm looking at keeping the trailer for 1-2 years then ditching it at this point. Want to hit 4-5 big trips in the states then go back to Europe a few times.
So I will lose $3-4k on the trailer, then pay more for gas, rv parks look to be half the price of hotel. Not sure if its worth it? My wife thinks I'm retarded, but she want to travel with the dogs...
Posting here because your all not RV nuts, RV forums preach about RVing.
