I'm with Scott. Its the same battle with my truck. I would love to take it off the road for a bit, make it a vette killer, and have another beater for a DD, but I enjoy driving the truck too much to do that. So I have resigned to the fact that my black truck will look like **** IMO, do my best to keep it looking nice, and beat the crap out of it. Its just fun. I just wish I had an AUTO Trac T case. I really want to be able to do a burn out again. But I guess that is offset by the great launches I get. The grass is always greener man, if my motor was in one of the three Fbodies I have owned, it would be an 11 sec car, but its more fun to have a high 13 sec (I think) truck.

I really just mod with tax return money. Last year it was Heads/Cam/Exhaust. This year, PerformanBuilt Level 2 and a 2800 stall. Next year, who knows, built bottom end??? Shut up and drive it.
