Who's going to be the first to buy one? I'm going to wait a couple years and see what the aftermarket looks like, and what the power and mileage numbers look like, but this in encouraging.

Don't count on it , any glimmer of getting extra power will be somehow fucked up by the EPA , they've already ruined our diesel fuel with hardly any lubricity which eats the hell out of injectors , part of the reason I got out of the diesel game.

Thanks EPA ! :

Interested to see what the fuel economy is with that 3.0L Dodge power mill. I didn't see anything posted about it.
What's GM doing? They still planning on coming out with that 4.5L mill?

Yeah me too spoolin. Haven't heard anything about GM or Ford. Only the Nissans and Rams. I'm very interested in both.

Cool, I actually vaguely remember reading about that a little while ago. Pretty cool and looking forward to it!

3.0 ram is supposed to be about 30 mpg highway like the grand cherokee. Should see them on the road in a few months

Toyota is also in talks with cummins about adding a diesel to the tundra

But I think performance wise titan will be the fastest stock since it'll be around 300 hp and probably 500-550 torque since the ram will be like 240/420

30 mpg should be no problem with the 3.0 in the Ram. I have the 3.0 in a 2007 Grand Cherokee and get 26-27 hwy running 70 mph. 24-25 mpg 50/50 hwy city. I have a 5 speed tranny, while the Ram has an 8 speed tranny.

Different motors too. Yours is benz based where as the new gc and ram are vm motori. Not sure what the new gc diesel are getting, but rams are heavier by a good bit so who knows

It is a VM vs benz motor, but specs are similar. Ram is not much heavier. Damn GC weighs 4800+. Add me and work gear and it is about 5300 lbs. It is awd too. I've been reading a lot about the new Grand Cherokees in Australia. Some are getting 30+ mpg on the hwy. They weigh in at about 5300 lbs.
