Have you ever been?
Was it a good experience?
Would you do it again?
Should I keep Sturgis in my bucket list?

Pulled a snapshot off one of their webcams...

Oh in 4 minuets it will be Red's 64th birthday

Something in me kinda wants to see what would happen if just one bike at the front tipped over and the domino effect took place.
Never been there for that event though.

Having lived up there for a few years I'll say it's pretty awesome! I don't ride and have no desire to but I love seeing all the cool custom stuff, there's always good music playing, the people are super friendly and I wish I was back there this week.

I highly suggest going and checking out the Full Throttle Saloon and the Buffalo Chip.

Happy birthday Red

Never been but I have known people who have gone and they say they love it. Not just because of the bikes but because of how beautiful the area around it is (if you are into that kind of thing, I love me some nature personally)

I've never been and Im not allowed because the bikes I like and own A) make horsepower B) can corner

However, interestingly enough; my Mom is a Harley gal and she goes 2-3x a decade and she loves it. Last time she went she took her car, but a lot of the times she has ridden 2 up to get there. She enjoys it

You can totally take a sports bike! One of the best things to watch are the dudes doing crazy tricks and flips with sport bikes.

I prefer to not tangle with Harley folk. They are very territorial. Something about that 5000rpm redline and air cooled 2021 116ci motor with 89hp really ignites the testes of those guys

I have a buddy that is a BIG Harley guy and SWEARS his bike will beat "any crotch rocket 1st-4th". Supposedly its all tricked out. Never personally seen the bike or him run anyone.

i normally try to leave town for those weeks, but it is nice if you make a point to go.
i've been 2 or three years, and my wife just went to see Clint Black the other night while i'm trapped here in DC.
the rampant debauchery's apparently toned down a bit from 10+yrs ago.
the worst part is that bike trains are literally freaking EVERYWHERE doing whatever they want & riding stupid - they make local folk a nervous wreck trying to continue about our normal lives. i can't go driving in the hills for nothing because all the fun roads are just packed with a bajillion two- (and three-) wheelers who can't corner or accelerate to save their lives

good music shows do come through, and of course, the eye candy's tough to beat
lots of cool bikes & cars come through, and folks are really appreciative / respectful of the craftsmanship.
most of the 'big, scary biker' types really are just some fun, good-hearted dudes... yeah, there're definitely some legit rough riders, too, but overall, i had no qualms about my wife's safety (who couldn't pass for a biker chick if she tried).

oh... and happy birfday!
