Rivet the sumb!tch on there. Then you won't have to worry. But if your plate gets stolen twice you should probably buy a lottery ticket.

I got home at 1am this morning and I DID look around the truck and street to see what kind of people were about but it was stone dead.

So I understand I am going to lose my custom plates now because of this?

That's bullshit. Why do u deserve to lose your custom plate? U should at least get them at a reduced rate.
If they're registered to u, that belongs your vanity as long as u maintain it (keep up to date).

The police weren't sure when I reported the incident this morning and then a family member told me their plate was taken a month ago and they had to turn in their (standard) front plate to get issued new numbers.

That's a std. plate, you're payin a premium for your plates cause their personalized. I'm guessin $30. But since it's CA, & nothin is reasonable when it applies to the consumer, u pay how much? Double?

Any cop that sees that on anything other than yours should have all kinds of red flags goin off. They need a stolen plate database. How hard could it be w/. a plate like yours?
