I currently have Ariat seirra saddle st. They are nice and decent in comfort. I also have had a pair of Danner TFX boots non hard toe since 2007 when I bought them from a soilder in Diyala Iraq and they are the most comfortable and lightest boot/shoe i have ever worn. I wore them while working in Iraq, during search and recovery after hurricane Ike which was pretty much the toughest terrian you could imagine on boots, and in the west texas oilfields. These boost just last. They have great traction and support and make you feel like you are wearing athletic shoes. They make a pair that are safety toe and that will be my next boot.

Ive had bad luck with wolverine, they always fall apart quick. Either the sole seperates from the leather or when I got some of those with the air pocket thing on the bottom of them they were called shox or something like that 5+ years ago I had them for a week and one of the damn air pockets blew out. After that its been all Red Wing, but I wear lace-ups for better ankle support due to my shitty left ankle. My most recent pair are waterproof and have a steel plate in the bottom to protect from nails or any other sharp objects. THey work well and still allow your foot ot breathe during the summer. I think I paid a little over 200 but my company pays the first 150 so its all good

Timberland Pro black steel toe boots, I love em. I've always wanted to try Red Wings though as everyone who I know who wears them raves about them, but it seems like I never have the coin for them at the point when I need new boots.

I like the caterpillar mids and magnums mids or full. I wore the cats when I was doing metal fabrication and they held up great, and now I use them as a Fed officer and once broken it, they were a very comfortable and durable boot. The magnums I have always loved for comfort but they are not as rugged and up to the task of heavy work.

This is one reason why I have been wearing composite toe boots lately, but the last pair I bought are not comfortable at all and my feet hurt at the end of the day. I have a pair of magnum composites that still set off the detector if they are too close together, if I spread my legs out I can go thru without it going off.

Wolverine Raider Multishox

They come in lace up and wellington slip on. I have the slip ons...very happy after about 8 months. Plus they are electrical hazard rated...which I need for work. The bucaneer model is the same...just waterproof.
