Default Spaten Optimator

For the beer drinkers who love a full flavored beer I have discovered a wonderful German Beer called Spaten Optimator.

Don't mind me I've been drinking.

I first had it on tap in Tulsa at McNellie's. If you don't know they have something like 150 beers available and a large chunk of those are on tap. I then found a 6 pack here at the local liquor store and thankfully it is almost as good as it was on tap.

Also I have a homebrewed scotch ale in the keg now aging a little and it is promising to be a very flavorful beer. I need to get something a little lighter made so I can keep myself from drinking the scotch ale to soon.

Always nice to see other homebrewers on the car forums!!! I won Best of Show at a competition this past weekend for one of my homebrews.

And I really like all of he Spaten selection....Optimator is a very good choice, even my wife enjoys it (which is surprising because she isn't a fan of most big beers)!

I'm searching for a good Spaten clone (doesn't matter which one) for my next brew!

I'll do that! I need to stock up on a few good beers until I have time to get another batch brewed. That is going to be a couple of weeks yet, since I didn't get it done last weekend and I am having lasik surgery this Friday. I'm trying to let the keg of scotch ale age for a few months. In the mean time I need to get a double draft tower put on my new keg fridge.

you guys ever had SMITHWICKS (pronounced smithicks) ? this is one of my favorites. i love grolsh, peroni, and stella artois, but when its all busniness i like arrogant bastard and guinness.
how much money do you guys have into your home brew setups. ive always wanted to try it but never seriously looked into it. how much time does it take? what kind of knowledge do you need? im good at drinking it, but i want to learn how to make it.
