Damn man, sorry to hear about this ****.

You know, they say incidents like this usually come back to someone you know (in the neighborhood?)

What sucks is that even if you catch them you cant really do ****... At least here. A buddy of mine smacked a guy with a bat (who was stealing his radio out of his car) and went to jail for 2 years for agg assult. Then got sued by the family of the guy (who was stealing his raido) for damages.... the jury sided with them. At the end of the trial he said "he was sorry; he didnt just shoot him."

Sucks our socity is broken.

Well I guess I can cross Scottsdale off my places to move. Dang, I really liked Scottsdale.
Is that the same AZ where the sheriff houses prisoners in tents and pink outfits?
Just doesn't seem right you can't protect your own property. It's not like he killed the guy for stealing his radio.

Arizona employs castle doctrine. Its one of the few states where you are allowed to defend your residence and your belongings. Look it up.

Didn't work for the guy described above.
Maybe because it was his car and not his home?

Just went to a local pawn shop and bought a used 8 gallon compressor for pretty cheap, so at least I have one if I need it. Talk about feeling defeated

I did talk to the guy for a while though, and every pawn shop in town has to submit a list of everything brought in that day to the police, so theoretically any stolen items that are pawned should pop up...

Just roll up onto local worksites with your ladder rack truck and take a gander at the compressors they are using lol. Once you find yours, bring the place down like last year's tornado.
