I'm 95% sure that the $400 dollar grant was awarded based on my FAFSA, the $500 grant i received on a first come first served basis by applying with the MTAG website. This is one of those grants that mostly all college students in MS know about because it is a freebie, so i didn't have to look hard for it.
Looking on all other sites for grants looks promising, but usually i am told that i do not qualify and it is always because i am told that i make too much, but now that i am married, the total household income for us is split into 2, and because we both make less the X amount of dollars once the household income is divided, then we both qualified for a grant ($400/sem). I am not sure what exactly determines the grant amount, whether it is indirectly proportional to the amount under a certain dollar amount that we make each (once divided), or if it is a linear set amount, or if it is based on annual state funding.

bump...........any scholarships to apply that are open to all majors? There aren't as many scholarships for current college students as there are for high school seniors.
