Smokey and the Bandit is the whole reason I got into cars. Before that I only liked semi trucks

Although I love Smokey and the Bandit my favorite Burt Reynolds move is "W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings". It was shot a couple years earlier (1975) than the bandit movie. It features WW (Burt) driving around in a black and gold 1955 "Golden Anniversary" Rocket 88 Oldsmobile robbing SOS filling stations with some pretty good chase scenes running from the law. He meets up with a small country band with the late Jerry Reid (Snowman), Don Williams and Connie Van Dyke. WW becomes their manager, getting them to the "Grand Ole Opry"

I've always wanted to build a clone of that Olds. I did own and paint a 1957 Chevrolet 2dr (150 model) black and gold closely matching the 55 Olds.

There are some HD versions online but unfortunately the Youtube one is low res... still a great movie worth the watch.
