Reason #341 why i hate Whipple

When I say internals, I mean the push rods, springs, rocker arms, etc., the top half of the engine. The bottom half I hear is pretty strong, the pistons, crank and such. I’m sure everyone has a little different definition of internals.

internals are talking about the lowerend components. You will need to do pistons, rings, rods, and pin the crank. You also want to do the top end, meaning valves, pushrods, rockers, cam, springs ect...... You know everything.

yeah, don just pm'd me with a little reality check. kinda sounds like i need a second job to support that upgrad. HOLY $$$$
Let me do some quick math here. I owe $6000 on my credit card right now, the "internals" will be probably another $5000 when it's all said and done. so, I need to make an extra $11,000 after taxes by next summer. hmmm, male prostitute?
Damn, that's about $18,000 before taxes. or 340 hours of overtime. so if i work 1 12hr day extra per week, it will take me 28 weeks. That puts me at around May. Sounds like a fun winter for me huh? lol

Got the new crank pulley put on and my belt was way too short. Had to wait about an hour for a local parts store to deliver one. It is now sitting in my garage cause i immediately went to AutoZone and bought a Gatorback instead.
so anyway, i went from a 6.5" crank pulley to a 7.5" crank pulley (same diameter as the harmonic balancer) Went from 10lbs of boost to 15. HOLY ****!!!!! That's insane. Thanks guys for all the responses. It turns out that i found a 14mm hex bit at Autozone when i went there looking for the belt. Now if whipple had responded to me over the last week or so that i've been calling and emailling them I would have known it was 14mm and NOT 13mm. Oh well. The job is done.

can you take some engine pics, detailed, I'm not following this whole crank pulley thing..........

The whipple crank pulley mounts to the face of the stock crank balancer/pulley, if I'm not mistaken. So the Crank drives the AC belt, the regular accessory belt, and a separate supercharger belt. Unlike the Radix which is driven off the regular accessory belt.

Whew.. now that I see your race weight I feel better about my own trucks performance again. About 600 lbs or so is a good deal lighter.
It's still VERY impressive power out of your truck though! IF you can keep it together it's likely to turn 12.9's very soon.
