I understand it isn't anything personal but when someone has a $1200 item listed for $700 why low ball them? You are already saving $500. If it is something I want and can afford and is saving me money why try and get deeper in the person's pockets? And saving $25 on $1000 I would hardly say is low balling. In my opinion low balling would be offering me $400 for the headers I have listed for $700.

Get over it, its life, ignore them. Id have to agree with Mark, money is money, if I can save a few bucks you can bet your *** I will.
Case in point my buddy James went to a dodge dealer that was advertising12K off cummins trucks, the salesman asked him what he could do to make the deal and he told him 14K would be better. guess what, the salesman came back and said he could make the deal. he didnt buy the truck but the point is, just because they had taken 12K off should he have not asked for more? Of course not, youre going to try and get the absolut best deal possible.
If they bother you so much just dont respond, if these little things get you that torqued up then youve got a long hard life ahead of you.

asking lowest shipped avoids the weird situation of feeling like you may be low balling the hell out of someone. if i meet a stranger, i will lowball the hell out of them. thats how you get good deals.
in the case of a forum, its sort of a small community. you usually know what you want to offer, but you dont want to offend them and end up having to still shoot the chit with later.

Just say: "My lowest bottom dollar is your best offer plus actual shipping."
Everyone saying they will lowball everyone else, that's well and good -- do it. At the same time, though, that means sellers should NEVER answer the "lowest shipped" question with anything but full ask plus shipping and + 5% handling. We all lose money here on shipping if you consider the box and your damn time lol.
Honestly, though, if you seriously get upset about selling here, like it was said above, ebay will almost always do better.

Hell I can beat your idiot with the exhaust question. I got a PM the other day about the thread I had trying to sell my stock powerfold signal mirrors. Some asshat sent me a PM wanting to know if I would take the glass out of both mirrors and sell the glass by themselves for $25 shipped. Seriously? Did you hit your head this morning or are you always this stupid?
I will ask someone what their best price is with shipping to my zip code and give them my zip. For me that basically means "Are you willing to take offers or are you firm at your price?" If they say something like "Make a reasonable offer.", Ill do so. I always make that post in the thread as well so that at the very least, its a free bump for them if I dont buy the item. Its very hard to make an offer without offending someone I agree but there has to be some common sense involved. I refuse to lowball someone out of respect just purely because I dont want it done to me, especially if Ive paid top dollar for a very nice item. I see this site as a brotherhood and you dont disrespect your brethren. Just my 2 cents though.

There are stupid questions and i agree with you about people asking them. Like seriously wtf are you thinking. But i either ignore them or respond back with LOL or something. Some people lowball just messing around though and its kinda funny.
Most of the stuff i sell on here im just trying to break even on it. Just trying to help out other guys in the same game as me. It pisses me off when they low ball me but its the internet man... I don't blame them for trying to save a few bucks. All in all though its not an auction and **** gets old.
No reason to get upset though... Just ignore and move on about your day. just my $.02

This might get me banned but I have to say this because it annoys the **** out of me. So much so that I seriously debate about listing stuff for sale but I know it will sale and will help 2 sites that I otherwise really like. When you see something listed OBO that means or best OFFER, what's your bottom dollar isn't an offer. When I price something I look at what I have, it's condition, vs price new, and what like items sell for. So I am listing it to sell, so I have listed it within reason of my bottom dollar already. For instance, I have some Stainless Works headers and ORY for a F body for sale. They are new and I am asking $700+shipping. Some dumbass asked me what's your bottom dollar shipped, seeing as how they are close to double that new I would say that is a good deal. Now for the best one of all. I have a Borla catback with an electric cutout for a F body for sell as well. Again, $700 for close to a 800 or 900 system and the cutout.....brand new. This jackass just asked me if I would sell him some of the bends from the catback since he damaged his, and that he would give me $50 shipped for what he needed. What the hell!!!!! Do people not think before they reply or send a PM on a for sale thread? Am I the only one this **** drives crazy? If this gets me banned so be it but there needs to be some new rules. 1) if listed OBO make an offer don't ask what bottom dollar is 2) if you wouldn't want someone to ask you what you are about to ask the seller.....don't ask 3) if you can't afford it don't low ball the **** out of the seller 4) (this needs to be better enforced with a couple day ban) don't comment on someone's price in a for sale thread if you have no intention of buying. Ok.....rant over.
