I thought they said it was up to 7 now. Either way, this is a terrible tragedy and could have been soooo easily avoided...

that is seriously ******* amazing at how little precaution they took, that is such a shame. and yes i think it is up to 7 now

Man....this thing is getting BIG TIME coverage on ALL the news networks. people have to remember that this was NOT at a santioned drag racing event. Although the driver, Troy Critchley is a well known, and professional driver, there should have been much more thought into this to ensure the safety of everyone. But.....PLEASE don't confuse this with any kind of drag racing event.

Why did they not do this at a drag strip with guard rails. Even rednecks know to put cement barriers around tractor pulls.

the whole deal is bullshit... if you watch that video Tex posted there is a ******* guy right in the opposing lane, he just misses gettin hit by about 6'... that driver should have known WAY better. i just cant believe how little precautions they took

what i want to know is was the driver actually supposed to be doing a full 1/4 mile run or just smoking the tires to put on a show? seeing that they had no safety barriers up or anything was this guy just showing off or did the people running the event really have drag cars making runs right down the street with people on the shoulder?
