That's one of the best ideas I've ever seen. It's gotta be pretty heavy lifting the "lid" though. Does it have a carb?

Pretty cool, those look like special castings though.
No way your going to hollow out an actual block like that even if it were aluminum. Some guy at a foundry or some rich guy with foundry connections probably had those castings poured all out of aluminum. Wouldn't really be very hard after making a couple patterns.
Still cool as hell, watch the net for marketing of these, looks like the originator has a winner on his hands.

Guess they were crazy enough to hog out an actual block!!
