Default Pissing off ricers with a big heavy truck...

heres my favorite way of doing it. go to one of these ricer parking lot gatherings and ask around who has the fastest car. call him out tell him that you'll whip his *** stop light to stop light. well, anymore, the fastest car there is usually a turbo/awd of some sort, so he'll be glad to race you for such a short distance, thinking theres no way you can get him. Make sure to give him plenty of time to talk all kinds of **** to his people about how big of a pos dumbestics are, etc etc, to make him look like an even bigger *******.

so, as you pull up to the redlight, roll that bitch into 4-LO . Oh yea, THATS what an AWD launch is about! your truck will be in third in the time it takes him to say "oh ****!" upon crossing the line, drop the tranny into neutral and coast to where you need to go to put the t-case back in high range.

disclaimer: make sure the truck still has a drivetrain warranty

ONly problem with that is that if your truck has any sort of power it tends to make the t-case not so happy. TreyZ28 blew his runnin in 4lo. Mine made some wierd noises when I tried to do a 4wheel burnout in 4lo with the nitrous. Needless to say I wont be trying that anymore. But it does sound like fun if you can pull it off.

a good trick is to give it a bit more TQ management with a handheld and then do it... but again, if I was modified with more than bolt ons I dont think I would do this.

speaking of, what Kind of t-cases do the HD trucks have?

They may be, but they arent designed to be hammered on in 4 lo. I want to do it, but I just got rolling again, so I think I'll hold off a little bit. 3000rmp launch in 4hi is enough for the ricers around here. I like racing 60' with the faster cars around town You'd be suprised how well 4 32" buckshots hook in a parking lot

Thats where I win my races in my Dodge. 4hi launches at about 1500(only redlines at 3200). Never done a 4lo launch. Not supposed to go over 35 in 4lo and It must be nearly stopped to shift into and out of it.
