Default picking up hitch hikers

It's not something I usually do but I almost ran over this guy so the least I could do is get him home. The Owner didn't have his number on the tags but had the number to a rescue shelter they got him from a long time ago.
He was standing in the middle of the road just over a hill in the rain. Luckily I was able to get shut down and didn't hit him.
The shelter is supposed to contact the owner in the morning and I'll likely drop him off on my way back to work. Just didn't want the guy to get ran over.

Good dog. Walked right up to me and shook my hand. After talking to the shelter I told him to get in and he crawled on in. Have pics of him in my truck but they are on my phone and I can't find my Cord.

Makes me want a Great Piranese myself. Really good calm dog. My Char-pit inside didn't mind but my rednose pit outside didn't take to kindly to strangers.

lol, Joshua, we like pics of chick's butts and dog's faces....not the other way around

I hope the owner is grateful you saved his pet from certain death and prevents him from getting out to the street again.

Good on ya for picking him up. Ya, every Great Pyrenese (sic?) I've ever encountered has been a great dog.

yea there was no way I was gonna leave a dog like that out in the rain to possibly get ran over. he walked right up and put his paw on my lap. I tried calling the shelter again but didn't get an answer. I'm pretty sure I know what house is his but didn't want to wake them up for no reason.
We let him sleep inside for the night and he's been great.

A couple of weeks ago I picked a small white dog up that someone had obviously put out on the levee. It was late at night and I was afraid my other dogs would bother it so i just left her in the back on my truck with some food and water until morning. She was still there the next morning and when I let her down she ran and played with the other dogs and was happy but when I came back out later she was gone and haven't seen her since.. Guess she was only interested in one night stands..
