yep pretty damn safe. the only "money" horror stories you read about it is people falling for "phishing" emails. Don't ever goto a website from a link in an email.

what he said - just be careful of fake emails from "paypal" asking you to click the link to verify your account - or sometimes they will say something about your account being investigated - there are several. if you ever get an email from paypal that you feel is legit you should still not click to link. Close the email and go through your browser to paypal, if they need you to do something it will tell you after you enter your name and pword.

if you are only sending money link it to only your credit card, not to a bank account. This gives you the extra protection of your credit card company and prevents any one from accessing your bank account via your paypal account. If accepting money don't keep large amounts in the paypal account.
