It is also very understandable that alot think locking the file is rediculous,I do understand that. However I have had a few bad experiences leaving them unlocked so I decided to try to put an end to that. There are alot that will not use me because I lock them, and I understand there feelings on that completly, but I will continue to lock them to try to keep those bad experiences from happening.

On a highly modded vehicle, and having your own tuning software, I think having an unlocked PCM would be best. But at the same time, if I was a tuner, I wouldn't want to leave my tunes unlocked and have some jackass go in and change stuff and then say that my tune fucked his motor up.

But that is why there is more than one tuner in the market.

you cant read rite,i was wanting him to sent me an tune via email.that was a no go.sooo he said he would send me a "basic" tune in a locked ecm and i would send him the one i have back and all would be good.i asked him lastly if i could log with the headers to get it somewhat close.i know that i can log if its locked come on now

i do have an unlocked filefor the ss and have no desire to post it anywhere.that would get me know where,i know the stories behind the unlocked tunes and what happened, but thats not me.the biggest thing for me was the customer service..

On a serious note, the locking pcm situation sucks imo. I understand why it's done, but I don't like it. I would gladly sign a legal document relieving Charlie of any liability in the case of some sort of damage to my vehicle. I wish I could find someone local to me to tune, but it just isn't happening and also free retunes for life is a good way to get value on my initial investment of the tune with Wheatley. Ultimately, I think I'm just going to have to learn to tune myself or find someone local to do it because as the complexity of mods ads up, mail order tuning becomes very difficult. I don't have any experience with tuning, but I don't know how you're supposed to tune a cam without the vehicle and a wideband sensor. Another thing is I don't know the learning curve for tuning - whether we are talking months or years. I think it would be something pretty cool to try and learn though.

1st Scott I hate you for that video haha
2nd I understand locking the PCM. **** happens and there's shitty people out there.
3rd this thread is NOT about ripping Charlie apart. If you guys have beef settle your **** privately. I was NOT in any way trying to give him negative comments I simply needed his attention. So that being said have something respectful to say or comment on or don't post.

I think Charlie is far more than reasonable as far as tuning goes, both pricing and abilities. He had put up with my constant **** for days on end trying to get the dam thing just to run. I swear I have a demon cam haha. Now Charlie and I have sorted out or dilemma. Thank you Charlie I appreciate it!
