LED's are nice but I have a 47in LG HDTV LCD that the picture is great.

Edit: I would Definitely stay away from Plasma.

I really really like the picture quality on my plasma tv's. I also really really like the low low prices of them.

But those ************* get so freaking hot....... I could almost heat my house. With the TV on for a few hours watching movies, the master bedroom upstairs gets way too hot to sleep.

LCD pictures suck, from all the ones I've seen, if they are viewed from side angles. I've never checked out the new LED tv's. I'd hope they run at cooler temps.

I have a 55 lg plasma that has a great picture on it.. The new LED's are great because they are so thin, do not generate as much heat as the plasma or lcd.. However in my op the LED tv's almost have a animated looking picture.. It does not look real, as it is so crisp and defined.. If you are going to have it in a room that gets a decent amount of day light, then go led or lcd.. Plasmas are great for darker area that does not get that much natural light...

Well i ended up getting a sony 55" LCD . I got the sony because i have always had sonys and had great luck with the. My 55 projection sony was 7 years old and it never had any issues except one physco girlfriend threw a plate threw the screen which i got repaired. All in all i am happy, except they had to order it so i gotta wait 2-5 days

Honestly i did not notice a difference between the led and lcd that warranted the extra 500.

Nice man. I didn't really see a huge difference with led either. 1080 hd is 1080 hd to me.

My living room is pretty freaking big. I almost got a 65" but it was just too freaking big.
