Default Ok electronic nerds, TV just died, soooo LED, LCD or Plasma

Well after 8 years the tv finally died sooo going shopping for a new one. It has to be at least 55 inches. So what is the best LCD, LED or Plasma?

LED, the picture quality is very noticeable. I have an LCD and got a LED recently and put them next to one another and the difference was very noticeable. Colors look great on an LED. If your budget allows it get an LED!

The LED TV's have a flow to them that looks a little different than a normal TV. I don't see one very often so it usually throws me off when I see it. I like my Samsung Plasma, but some people love the look that LED's give you. Check them all out in a best buy, figure out which one you like, and then go buy it somewhere else for 2/3's of the price you see it at Best Buy.
