Default Need help with my chainsaw

Sorry I know this is WAY off topic but need some help regarding my Craftsman chainsaw. Its a 18" 42cc and is about 7 years old. < not that that info matters.

The model # 358350380

If you look at this diagram you will see the area I highlighted in yellow is where the Cylinder Head bolts to the Crankcase cap. There was a gasket there that was deteriorated and causing oil to blow out. However, the area I highlighted in RED has no gasket and is sealed by a bushing on the crankshaft that I circled in BLUE.

I cannot find the right gasket for this crankcase cap on http://www.searspartsdirect.com/part...&prst=&shdMod=

I ordered almost all the different gasket and ordered the Engine GAsket Kit but none came with the gasket I need so my question is this:

Can I just use a tube of gasket maker from the auto parts store to seal this up?

step 1: throw the Craftsman in the trash
step 2: go buy the Stihl of your choice
step 3: enjoy years of cutting down/up whatever the hell you want with no more maintenance than new chains, oil, gas, and filter....

FYI - I got this chainsaw for free 5 years ago from my dad and don't have enough need to spend any serious money on a new one. Other than this leak this chainsaw has been flawless for me over the years. I do agree though, for the most part craftsman is junk.

I started reading and thought "why doesn't he just get a tube of gasket maker..." lol
I'd just do that and call it a day.
