Default need a good laptop

well my computer at the house crapped out on me, and im looking for a nice laptop. I am wanting something with a burner and a pretty nice size screen. anybody got any advice on a good quality laptop? thanks fellas

I just picked up a dell inspiron, with the 17'mon and I don't ever get on the house comp any mo. Excellent computer for the $$$ http://www.dell.com/content/products...tab=bundlestab

I loved my 15.4" widescreen Toshiba, excellent computer. Finally the plug started seperating internally on the laptop for the charger, which is too much to fix so I just bought a 14.1" widescreen HP, not a bad computer either. Just a warning, a 17" monitor is not going to be comfortable to use in a car/ truck... my 15.4" was almost too much

I know exactly what you mean. I would have loved to have one of those small 12.1" Dell's for tuning.

it wont turn on, i have some restoration discs but it wont turn on. its a dinosaur of a computer. was good in its day but now its about 5 years old. i figure it will make a good target for when i get my shotgun for valentines day
