I was mis-diagnosed with hodgkins (cancer in your lymphnodes) or somehting like that when i was 18. weeks later, after tests, and $10k in bills, it turns out it was fluid from i cold i had recently had. anyway, during the couple weeks i did a ton of research and found out that this type of cancer is one of the most treatable. it didnt really make me feel too much better cause being in that situation is scary as ****.
bottom line is IF it even is cancer, its VERY treatable, and i was told this 7 years ago.
the technology and science these days is amazing, im sure your father will be just fine.
hang in there, everything will be alright.

this makes me worried about a bump ive got on my arm... It's been there for awhile and I know im stupid for not getting it checked out. I think I had something go wacko with my lymph nodes or something like a year ago because alot of them had swollen up (some on my neck, arms, etc). But they all went back down after a few days/weeks, and I had 2 on the same spots on my arms stay for nearly a year, the other went away but the other is still there. I might go see what it is after reading this thread. I'm only 19 if that makes any difference and I've never had any serious medical troubles, but cancer does run in my family.

Hang in there man, hope all turns out well. Had a case of lymphoma myself 3 years back, so I know what's going through your head. Like someone else said, if you ever do get a cancer, lymphoma is one of the better ones to get. Something like 95% success rate. I'm still around being a pain in the *** to everyone.
But still, hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Was he showing any other symptoms?
Night sweats, itchy skin, weight loss, fatigue?
