Default need a better manual trans for my LQ9

I have a 2000 ecsb 2wd 5 speed chevy that I bought in may '05. I swapped in an '02 LQ9 in june and since then I have destroyed 2 nv3500 trannies. I need a tranny that is way stronger, something that easily handles 500 hp later on. I had to buy a flywheel from a '02 HD 6.0L which was about $300 and I have a hurst short throw shifter that was $170 if at all possible I'd like to be able to reuse these. I was also wondering what 5 speed was used in the Joe Gibbs truck and if that would be a good choice.

The Joe Gibbs trucks use factory units. Same as yours.

Swap in a T-56 and you'll be good to go.
