Yeah Cody I've heard that before , but this deer had a hardon chasing tail this morn , I hope the hormones aren't in the meat haha !

Corey , you texans don't have trail bologna ? It's also called summer sausage, I will send you a ring after I taste it and make sure Cody is wrong hopefully haha !

Sorry about your rig but nice score on the deer... I have some friends that scavenge road kill deer and it all taste good to me... Good luck on the bologna...

This is not true. Being hit by a car can damage some of the meat but you just don't process that meat. What can happen is if the guts get burst open it can taint the meat and you shouldn't eat it then.

As long as you process it quickly like always a dear that is hit tastes just the same as one that is shot.

The deer broke its neck , no other trauma , no excessive bleeding or clotting when I field dressed it . The processor said it was fine .

I am not a hunter as i see it as a complete waste of time. I personally can not sit still for hours, let alone sit still and be quiet! But if you happen to be a hunter think of it this way. Most hunters have atleast a $1000 rapped up into there gear. Gun/bow, shells/arrows, clothing, license, and plenty of other gear, not to mention all the time wasted. You get the front bumper fixed, plenty of deer meat and don't have to sit in the shitty cold at 5 in the freaking morning!!!

Hitting a dear and having insurance is the only intelligent way to "go hunting" in my mind.
