anyone read about the new direct injection v8 ? id like to see more info as it comes available. this may be the next big step.

 

Damn thats pretty crazy bumping the new motors down to a 5.5L in the new vettes. But I cant say it wasnt expected now a days there trying to get the most power out of the smallest motors and with the lowest emissions and highest fuel economy. Wont be long till we have a 6 cylinder turbo vette with 500 hp and 60 MPGs lol.......hopfully they never take the V8 away from the Vette or Camaro it would break my lil heart lol

 

sounds like a cool little motor but good god i hope thats not the new vette in the pic above the article...

Curious to see the new motor. The vette needs work though.

 

it looks like a corvette that wishes it was a ferrari but instead it turned half fish... just the vibe i get from it

 

i'm fine with the DI 5.5, but if the C7 ends up looking like that, i'll hold onto my C5 for a while

Well they are running out of LS abreviations...sounds normal they come up with a new engine and name it something else..
