Default Might buy a 2007.5 LMM w/195k on it.... Advice encouraged!

Here are the details on the truck I am looking at:

2007.5 Sierra 2500HD SLE ECSB 4x4, 195,xxx miles, engine hours show at 1141.5 (but I don't see that being right, as avg. MPH would be WAY too high - can these be reset with a tech II or through the dash controls? wondering if that's what happened). It's a single owner rig that has been used as a vehicle for a sales manager with LOTS of highway miles as I understand it. Guy got a new truck and now he needs to sell this one for the leasing company. Oh yeah, it's bright red, so that's something I'm thinking about as well, prefer white / silver....

Anyone have the capability to run a DEALER vin report to see what all it has been in for? IF so, let me know and I can PM the vin to you. Since torquewrench is no longer in the biz, has anyone else picked up where he left off?

The good: for the most part it's in great condition, needs a serious detail outside (think clay bar, polish, and wax) and needs a bit of shampooing / wet rag detail interior to remove some crap on the panels / carpet.

The questionable:

Needs fuel filter

Both rear fenders have scratches (12-24") in the upper portion at or right above the wheel well, one might buff out / need touch up paint, but the driver side is going to need the 6" ding smoothed and paint to bring it back to near new condition. Rest of the body is straight.

Needs Hydro boost hose, leaking

The Oil pan has residual fluid on the bottom 3", but around the flange at the engine it looks clean, is there anything to look for other than a sloppy oil change job?

The Transmission side covers slightly oozing fluid

Driver window switch control only seems to work properly on front driver window and rear passenger window. The other two will work on down command, but have to be commanded up with their respective door switches. Obviously not a regulator issue as they still work, but does this sound like just a replace the driver switch kinda deal and you're set?

Needs a new right rear 17" alloy wheel and TPMS sensor.

Sorry for the novel, but I figure I should post all the info I have in order to get some good advice, which I definitely appreciate! The main reason I am even looking at this, and not the 2006-2007 LBZ ECSB 4x4 SLT that I want is the price disparity. Those LBZ's around here at 100,000 to 150,000 are going for $33,000 to $27,000 and I don't want to dump that amount of cash on one as I don't really "NEED" another truck. But this one is priced at $14,000 !!!!! With the issues posted above does that seem like a fair price? It's booking private party - (kbb, NADA, edmunds tmv) out at ~$17,500 at a "fair/rough" condition setting.

What would you do? What do you think?

Going to take EFI Live V2 hand held with me tomorrow when I go on a test drive, want to do some logging. Any suggestions on what PIDs I need to log? Injector balance rates?

Also going to check condition of oil, trans fluid, and coolant. After the test drive I am thinking about dropping it off at a local shop to get the suspension/steering all checked out.

I am still trying to get service records from the owner. Will a dealership supply me with a print out of records if I supply them with the vin?

Seems like a lot for an SLE extended cab with issues. You can get trucks with the same mileage in an SLT crew cab configuration for a few grand more. Definitely get the suspension checked out as you can sink 1500 bucks into it real damn quick.

Your hours to miles suggests that the cluster was replaced at some point. They didn't program the number of hours when it was replaced.

I got a chance to take if for a drive and do some BB logging. Except, the damn log file didn't record correctly, and I got only what I believe are min, avg, and max values that are viewed through the F9 data tab in Scan 7.5. Enough BS, now my question. I saw Injector balance rate adjustments ranging from -70.44 mm3 to -459.84 mm3. Most injectors were -100 mm3 to -200 mm3. So, according to my memory on conversion all of these values are less than 1CC of adjustment, that's pretty good correct? I'm not sure if the log threw out all data but one frame, or how it was giving me those values, but in any case the truck seems to run like a top, aside from needing a fuel filter and oil change.
