me and my Dad's Winter/spring project
#1
My dad bought a truck last month and has been bugging me about building it... I'm in the Marine Corps now and will be going home for good the first week of December, he wants to build it over about 4-5 months to have it ready for the summer/next fall...
Its a '93 S10 reg cab short bed
It already:
tubbed
4 link
9" with some DEEP gears (I think it was setup for 1/8 mile before)
aluminum interior
aluminum seats
full autometer gagues
setup for GEN I/II smallblock
has some M/T front runners and some 32x14-15 M/T's out back
it has no motor or trans
I have been thinking about a GEN III 370+cid motor and a 'glide. Two stages of the good stuff 150 first stage and about 250 more after that
He wants to do a carb style intake so a plate/DP nitrous system would be the way to go IMO for two stages. I'm not sure on heads, or rotating assembly but its going to have to be some stout stuff to handle all that juice. We'll probably go with about a 4500 or slightly larger stall and a nice bumpy cam... probably in the 250* .640 range...
I'll need all the input I can get... We're trying to run, um, FAST... no expected times or goal times just yet, we just want it to be scary fast... I'll want to drive it on the street from time to time at home too...

I dont have any pics of it, I know the truck though from seeing it at the track at home. Its flat black as far as I can remember, with Lexan windows... the trucks number used to be on the rear window written in 2% wimdow tint, it was pretty cool....

cool... I bet it will be a beast. I hope Dad's truck turns out nice. He's ready to go fast again after having some health problems over the past few years. I told him I'd help him put it together once I got back.... I'm really shooting for some deep 9's but I dont know...
