well yes it is a cam swap and specially coated 327 pistons.

Yea. pretty much. It has different pistons (supposedly) and a .467/.476 176/201 camshaft.... wow.

A 5.3 in an avalanche is a joke. It's the heaviest light duty 1500 GM makes.

Wow the cams huge, i heard i could make about 4000 more horsepower if i used that one.

So, the GM "insiders" say the intake is DONE at 5600rpm's huh? So much for retaining that crate motor warranty putting in new valve springs

Its called a 327 because of the 327 hp rating. It's a stock bore 5.3, probably with the L33 pistons and a bit better cam. It's a waste of money basically.

Truckin is a nice magazine and they always have beautiful show trucks... but even in their "performance" issue, they seem clueless about this stuff... this platform is 10 years old now!!!! get with the program!!!
