thanks guys, I really appreciate the kind words

what am I going to do? no clue as of today, I could easily get a civilian contractor job, doing what I do now but in the civilian sector. However, my life's passion is motorsports, it sure sure would be nice to open my own shop or work for a race team of some sort.

Let me tell ya from personal experience, working on a pro team requires TONS of hours, and determination. You might chance turning your passion into something you don't like. Been there, done that. Worked on several pro drag racing teams back in the late 70's, earlier 80's, and it almost turned me off completely to something I previously loved. Luckily, I got out of it, and still am involved to this day. When I look at the guys now, trying to do between rounds maintainence in 75 minuites (NHRA Drag Racing),man....I wouldn't work that hard for ANY amount of money! Good luck in the future!!

I have heard being on a pro race team takes alot of time. Time away from family is not worth it IMO.

Grip, Not sure what your plans are....But I would take a month or so and just chill, then make a descision on what to do. If you need anything you can always call, if I can help you I will.

SELL MAGNA CHARGERS!

PS in that month off could you PLEASE finish your truck

Good luck man! I'm sure things are "unsettling" right now to say the least, but I have a feeling that you are the kind of person for whom things tend to work themselves out for. I'm sure in a year or two you will know that whatever happens did so for a reason.

Can you cross rate? Do something where you get to blow **** up... It'll make up for the bonuses! But it would require more sea time than ACs are used to... Have you seen a ship? I spent 3 years in Pensacola, I have to mess with you!

Did you know that as a veteran, you can get a small business loan for a REALLY low interest rate? I forgot what the rate was but I believe the max amount is like $270k.
