full ride at sacramento state and then got picked up by the Raiders ('95) but never got signed because i dislocated my knee, folded it backwards 90* like a flamingo from a cheap hit... it was horrible... 2 surgeries and 15 months of rehab... i still have a couple of 3 1/2" long screws inside...

Damn Dave that hurts me just thinking about it.

I don't remember if I posted in here before, pretty sure I did but don't want to go find it so here's a pic from a few months ago.

Ordering performance parts at the track after watching everyone else with fast trucks.

Looks more like your calling in a hit on the competition.

Did you lift in the ADFPA? Most of the meets around here are non-tested now days, so if you aren't taking "supplements" you may as well stay home There are a few fair meets a few times a year tho.

Looks like a pretty good sized meet, was the the State Championship?

That was actually THSPA. Texas High School Powerlifting Association. That pic is about a year and a half old now. Yes it was the state meet. My best was 675 at 211.6 pounds. Then I managed to follow that up with a herniated L4/L5 vertebrae going for 700 lbs, and missed my entire freshman baseball season and had to put down the weights. I'm finally back at it again. I'm hoping to be able to try 700 again and hit it before I'm 20 years old. Oh and here's a pic at the regional meet before hand. It was only 665, but it shows that I actually got the lift and that I didn't make EVERYTHING up.LOL.

Here's the picture, for some reason when I uploaded it it turned out tiny. I'm the second name from the top Mark Mahany my 665 pound lift is circled though for squat.

Oh and I did get 2nd. The dude that beat me was a freaking monster.

Also, for what it's worth, I've never taken steroids, protein, suppliments, etc my whole lift.

Wasn't doubtin' you dude And when I mentioned "supplements", I meant steroids. I've taken protein supplements before, and it does seem to help as it is hard to eat as much food as you need to in order to get 200+ gm of protein a day. As far the the steroids go, it doesn't bother me that people take them, it's just hard to compete with a guy who is in the 198's and opens with a 500 lb bench. I've just started pulling again (in addition to benching), but the squat is out for me as I have a bad leg.
