Ouch! I think about that every time I'm using the push mower and trimming in my ditches. "man it would suck slipping, I'm thinking to myself" Reason I've kept the little bar on the handle that kills the thing when you let go.

A guy at the shop I worked at, a drunk btw, decided it would be a good idea to clean the grass out from the mower - while it was running. Lost 2 fingers or so, his best friend at work was chopping wood and split his foot with the ax, peas in a pod...

good luck on healing up buddy, looks disgusting and painful but not nearly as bad as it could have been.
