yeah DTW is a good site, alot of members, but with a bunch of them being kids, you have to take that into consideration when reading the posts over there. Ram4pick, you are about like me, heck I keep an open mind on all the vehicles out there and no matter what is it, if its fast, pretty, etc and you deserve the credit, I give ya a thumbs up!

Thanks folks i appreciate it, Ram4pick i agree with you buddy 100%, your one of the few folks that actually have a Hemi and arent a brainwashed person thinking they own a supercar. I purchased this ram and its got plenty of power for what i need, ive done a few mods but nothing special. I have also owned a pretty fast fox body stang and it was pretty darn quick. Im open to other brands and got a good deal on my truck. Hell ive owned ford and chevy products one being an F-body camaro. RumbleBee, i agree with you as well man, Thanks for the welcomes!

Well guys I was going to post this over there but decided I did not feel like registering. But here is a little reasurance and some calculations based on this case. He said that the chevy passed him going about 90 mph. and he was going about 60 at the time when the chevy passed him. By the time that he ended up catching him he was going about 110 and the chevy 100. We will assume two Things here
1. the instant this dodge guys reaction occured to persue the chevy was 2000 ft ahead and going 90 mph and the dodge 110 (remember at this instant). One can then make a simple calculation. One can say than the chevy is standing still and the dodge is going 20mph...How long will it take to make up that 2000 ft difference?
distance=velocity x time v=20 and distance= 2000ft or .3788miles
.3788 miles/20 mph= .01894 hours or 1.13 minutes
2. The chevy is going 100 and the dodge is going 110. How long would it take to make up that 2000 ft difference. Same calculation only the dodge is going 10 miles faster. So.....
.3788 miles/10=.03788 hours or 2.27 minutes.
Remember one thing: this is assuming that once the dodge reacted he went from 60 mph to about 110 instantly. Which is very much possible
Please feel free to post this over there, I would like to see the reaction on there faces. I just did not feel like registering.

I think the thread over there is on its way down 2005hemi has stopped posting and we are making friends over there now. That is good info and wouldn’t have thought about that. Maybe I should pay more attention in class for my mechanical engineering degree. LOL. Well we all knew he was full of it and he got shamed off the board when dodge owners told him to

If you want to weed out the guys with HEMI-itis ask them what HEMI stands for, a few may actually know. Then ask them, what part of the engine is hemispherical? If they get this far, ask them, how does having hemispherical heads help? Jaguar, Porche, and others also have used this design, it's not exclusive to Chrysler as advertising would lead you to beileve. I have no doubt a true HEMI engine (426 in,7.0 L Big Block) is an amazing peice of machinery, but that's not what they are putting in the Ram, because if they were, I would own one
Anyway, welcome to the site to all the DTW guys who have checked in. Tell your buds to check it out.

I only hit the Chapter boards anymore over there. The board is slower than crap and ten magazines have gone too commercial with their websites for my tastes. Everything is an advertisement. Not that it's wrong, you have to pay server costs and such, but it's a bit too extreme over there for me. I've met a lot of great people from the website and have nothing against them. HEMI owners or not.
Silly stuff like that boy's post goes on at all the truck websites on the internet. It's not just the Hemi boys trying to stir the pot. It's all good though. It's got all of us watching.... right? A little laughter never hurt anybody. They all knew he was full of crap.
I don't tend to talk too much about the Chevy crowd, well because...

hahaha The tow rig is a 1999 5.3 ECSB
