it loved the nitrous. it ate a few bottles of 150 no problem, and countless bottles at 125. the guy that had the motor before me ran a MS4 and 175 shot. in the end it held its own for being a 140,000 mile old stock bottom end ls1 that was revved to 7k rpm daily. it cranked out 44x hp a few months ago and i was positive it was ready for 11's n/a and 10's on nitrous. i laid into it in front of my dads house. it spun up QUICK (spinning tires) and let loose on the 2nd gear shift. it was so loud i thought i lost the driveshaft transmission or rear end. i pulled the passenger side valve cover and everything looks great. the way it sounded when cranking had me thinking i lost an exhaust valve. my next guess is that i lost a rod bolt. it will start but it takes a while and sounds NASTY. no oil in the street and no smoke out of the block so its possible that the block is good. if so i may just throw some forged slugs in there and keep running it.
