okay definately an xp buff and i'm new to vista but wanted to try it...so i've done this & i've got this whole folder chock full of pictures that was on my XP partition & it won't let me view the pictures it's saying that i do not have permission...i right click & gave full access & everthing thanks guys!

 

how do you like being locked out of your own computer.
they have a message for everything.
it takes a while to get it all set up right, but for the person that has no idea of what their doing vista is a real nightmare.

 

i mean i've had windows mastered since i was 12....xp & me were cake to me...i'm definately ahead of the learning curve on this stuff but i had VERY important pictures & now i can't look at them...I'M PISSED!!!

 

well you can always see the pictures as a slide show for the screen saver.

 

rnt they coming out with a new operating system???

 

yeah but the problem is that they're naked pictures of the wifey...can't set that as a screen saver.....

 

Have you tried taken ownership of the folder through the advanced tab in your permissions? I know with XP you can do that, not sure about Vista.

 

send the pics to me....ill see what i can do Just kidding!!

 

Go back to XP or download Windows 7.

 

i agree, id have to see the pictures and see them in high res to see what i can do for u. im pretty sure i can get them to work itd just take time to see how ur computer encrypted them when it wrote the file.
