Should I take your side because you're a sponsor and you posted something on an internet forum? That logic is BS, and I'd be willing to bet that everyone who signed the petition did it because they feel the same way. Not cool for you to belittle the other members who signed it as doing it just because a "mod" posted it. Thanks though.
Easy chief. I don't know who pissed in your post toasties, but I sure didn't intend to. I'm not saying you shouldn't have posted it...I am saying those who don't know WTF is in the bill, who are signing internet petitions, are off their rockers. I'm no better as a sponsor than you or anyone else on this forum. I like the debate and am for anybody who researches these things and has THEIR OWN OPINION, whatever that opinion might be. I like this forum because folks can discuss these topics, without being told to go to a sister site and the thread being locked.

Again, I don't think this bill will fix all the problems....but for Obama and all those at power to sit back and watch it get worse while scratching their heads wondering how to fix it definitively is NOT the answer, IMHO.

I wonder how many that have posted in this thread will benefit from the tax break in the bill? Or how many will be effected by it in the way of a break when they purchase their first home? And I wonder how many of those, don't even know that the bill will effect them in any way good or bad. Just raising points that many won't want to hear

Damn thing just got signed. He's now saying it will be until 2010 before we see any results from it. Looks like he's doing some early campaigning form the Democratic seats set to go to election in 2010. Looks like their campaign will be 'we're still in the process and heading the right direction'. Sickening.

You'd better believe it.

You say 8 years like this is just a certain persons fault (Bush's). I do believe legislation was tried to be pushed through that would set up some regulations that would prevent this. The Dems didn't like it. All of this didn't happen overnight and it isn't going to be fixed overnight. I'm upset that the 'necessary steps' we are taking are making things worse than better.

Have you seen some bills that are trying to get pushed through regarding weapons, taxes, etc.? Hell, they are even trying to move the census to the White House so they can redistrict everything so they won't lose many seats when the 2010 elections come around. This administration is dirty and people need to wise up.

Everytime i see the statement "it took 8 years to screw it up, etc etc etc" i get a good chuckle.

FYI...he was referring to the Democratic House/Senate (whatever it was?) during the Bush administration....... jsyk.

So keep thinking that everything was all Bush's fault....

I'm sure they had their bad apples but it wasn't near as dirty. Is it embarrassing when so many people nominated to cabinet positions haven't paid their taxes in years? Typical Dem mindset. You take others people's money but you think you're above giving your money. Hussein strictly said that there's no room for lobbyists in his White House. Guess what. He's made plenty of room.

Did the last administration have a 'stimulus plan' filled with party pet projects and money in exchange for votes last November? Congratulations Democrats...you all complained about Bush's spending and in one month you've managed to spend what he did in 8 years. Only 47 more months to go.
