I can't imagine 5 months but I know the winters really punish a vehicle bad. Get a little wagon to lug that battery. I take it there's no power in the shed? You don't "winterize" it?

lol me too! when i was in college we had a bad storm and got about 3+ feet of snow...every few hours i would move my truck so that way it was too burried, each time she just jump right out of the spot i was in...the college made it mandatory to have everyone move their cars so they could get the pay loader to plow...

well all the kids with hondas, saturns, kias etc, were very desperate...so i drove around with a tug boat rope and couple of shackles and pulled em out for 2o bucks for each one...my roommate was in the back and gave em the rope, so they were responsible for hookin...made some good coin while having a blast!

my crowing achievement last year was when a guy i knew hooked my chain up to his rad hose. i pulled the hose off, then hooked the rad support, and pulled him out. he made it about halfway to his house, then he broke down. i laughed my *** off. the guy was a douche.

I am storing mine for the first time. I think next week will be it's last week out.....maybe. I drove my winter beater for the first time today because of the shitty ice/slush, and I do miss the truck already. I am not looking forward to putting it away for the better part of 5 months. I enjoy driving a two wheel drive truck in the winter, but im damn sick and tired of all the salt. I may need to start up a "truck cabin fever" club of some sort towards the end of january or the beginning of february

Wagons don't roll through a foot of snow too easy As far as winterizing it goes, I don't do a single thing to it other than top the tank off to the filler neck with non-ethanol gas. I live in the great white north and have stored plenty of ATV's, lawnmowers, outboard motors, old cars, etc and have yet to see a carburetor gel up, engine rust or all the other wives tales that people talk about. Shut it off when you park it, start it once during a mid winter 30 degree day, and then forget about it until spring

You guys should see some of the '03 and '04 silverado's rollin' around the minneapolis area, they're already rusting on the doors and rear wheel wells. They're only 5 years old! I don't want to come across sounding cocky at all but when people take a look at my truck they all look in amazement how clean my truck is. And at gas stations I get lots of guys coming up to me asking "Where on earth did you find a truck that clean?" or "Did you restore that truck?" Not only do they rust but there's so much dust and salt in the winter that when people wash their vehicles you get a lot of marring and hazing in the clear coats which just makes the finish look "old and tired". I can't see spending 18K on a new truck (yes I saved through all high school and college for it) to drive it through the winter and wreck it. No thanks. I plan on keeping the truck 15 years plus.

my trucks got cancer pretty bad in the cab corners, but i initially bought it for plowing, so it's to be expected. the whole body's gonna get redone soon as i can get around to it, but it loves driving in the deep stuff. i made a trip home from chicago during a blizzard with semi's every few miles jackknifed in the medians, cars rolled over, and i kept a constant 65 - 70, passin cop cars, it was great. usually on the highways during that **** everybody clusters and kicks up snow so they think it's worse than it is, soon as you get outta the pack you can see pretty well.

i love driving in the snow, makes my truck seem way faster and more powerful than it is....
