no, thats the CTS-v. GTO's have Dana m-80 which are stout if put together well. Some factory cars had small problems with the LSD, but no grenading like the cts-v first gens.

GTOs whole suspension is garbage. They need lots of $$$$$ to be right. That is the worst thing about a GTO and the reason I sold mine.

if you expand your budget a little bit, you can find a car like my 09 cobalt ss for around 12-14k if its higher mileage (50-90k) turbo, 5sp, .95 on the skid pad, 260 hp, hp tuners compatible, seats 5, 34mpg, decent aftermarket, etc.

i love mine for a daily! traps 106mph stock in the 1/4 will run 13s if i could hook. and can bust up low 13 high 12 sec cars on the interstate. but the car shines much more on a twisty road. best bang for your buck in budget "sports" cars

I think I'm pretty set on a 350z now. Just got to find one and actually get around to buying one. I like the fact that they're RWD and have a pretty torquey V6 that sounds awesome. If the Cobalt was RWD I'd be interested.
