I can't afford to mod my truck or to race, and I haven't picked up my bass since my daughter was 6 months old. Gonna start doing more side jobs as a hobby so I can afford my real hobbies lol.

I'm probably a bit older than some on here. I've already got too many hobbies. Most of my life I've been into anything that goes fast. I've raced motorcycles, drag boats, Corvettes and had trucks all my life (but I've never had a fast truck).

At this point I have lots of hot rod parts and too many cars laying around but don't have the desire to mess with any of it.

That gets old, but it really isn't as expensive as people think it is.
I'm starting to get into building things. I'd like to build a house, but I gotta get some property first that I can build on.

When I 1st read that, I read it as buy a fish & ... then get a ski boat, instead of a boat for fish & ski.

In reading the thread title, I thought some would acually come up w/. hobbies other than racing. Some just would mod somethin other than a truck, but they still stay in racing. Most would have some competitive thing still.

I remember yrs. ago, my brother said all hobbies are expensive. He's right. Sooner or later, u want somethin better, or the best, constantly improvin the "mouse trap". That usu. entails more $, time, or both.

Myself, if it's transportation related, kinda simple. Restomod my 92 Camaro into a 12.0 runner. It's been neglected for yrs, so now it needs more than the mechanical upgrades I had planned. It needs cosmetics from sittin outside.

I've always had a soft spot for '68-72 Novas; drop in a potent EFI setup w/. a 6sp.

I'll probably add some pipes to my Fatboy & call it done. A part of me, 1 day after many other things are squared away financially, would like to paint up another HD (most likely a RoadKing) how I want, add some pipes, done. Maybe a Vrod done in a WW2 theme, I have an image in my head.

I need to buy a house before too long, but money flow has me nervous to pull the trigger. After my truck is done, I have a house, I wanna get into fishing & dabble in stamps. Also, I'd love to have a marine aquarium. They can have an expensive learning curve.

As u can see, I've got enough hobbies listed to stop me from gettin bored for a lifetime.

That's very cool. Even the soundtrack didn't bleed my ears like some headbangin music. The 1st song was mellow even.
What is that called - Is that paragliding or what name? How much? I wanna see in better detail what your butt is sitting on, cause in some pics, it almost looks like a wheelchair; I couldn't tell cause it kept movin. Did it take u a long time to get the hang of it?

I don't like heights, but that I think I could forget all bout heights, don't know why that is. Looks to be great stress reliever, like goin out on the Harley when no idiots are on the road. Great scenery & footage too.

I have no clue what music that was. Jerry, the one with the yellow, red and black wing did the video. It's called paramotoring. Cost about $4-5k For a wing and everything if you're a thrifty shopper. The seat is very similar to a wheelchair set up. Played with the wing on the ground for a couple of weeks and then the rest was history. The hardest part if learning to take off.

Jerry and David both took about 10-15 flights before they got comfortable in the air. I jumped out of planes in the Army, so I was comfortable in the air from day one. It is extremely relaxing once you are at ease in the air.
