I would have done so much different it's pathetic. I would have bought EFI live before I did anything else. Then I would have bought a perfect low mileage LQ4 instead of my LQ9. Then I would have gone straight to boost, wouldn't have changed to 4.10s...

For $25k I would buy SuperchargedSS's truck. It's the older body style but I like them better anyways. It's also modded nicely, clean, and finished already.

Tell us both versions. Do it in 1 post cause you're not gettin credit for Post Whoring twice.

Myself, if I was stayin w/. a '04, I may've gotten a 4.8/ 5 spd. so that way it woulda made swappin a 6 spd easier.
I'm really likin the idea of rowing gears in a 6 spd. So much, it might see the way onto the 04.

The motor would get F/I. If that wasn't enuff, I'd worry bout cubes later.

If I had to get an EC, Arrival Blue SSS.

If gettin away from my model yr., just get a newer 5.3 so it came w/. more HP. Efans std. Alum block would be a nice perk too for lighter wtg. to help handlin & drag times. Blue Granite since Arrival blue wasn't offered after 04.

Not that I'd thought bout it.

i would have gone turbo instead of supercharging.

i really dont think i would have changed about building a new motor to be FI and a daily driver.

id do a scsb with a 2500 chassis. 8.5 front diff and a 9.5 read diff from an hd truck with an 80e . same motor setup i have now with awd.

pretty much a lighter stronger version of my truck in a scsb with all the SS cladding .

hoping to get my next whip the end of the year so i can pull my ss around or pretty much anything when it breaks down . 08 2500 hd cclb 4x4 ltz DURTYMAX!!!!!!( in matte black , dpf delete , built trans , fuel support , efi tune for 850rwtq )

who wouldnt be happy with a mid 12' second truck on 37-38 tires pulling around your 10 second truck.

If I could start all over, I'd probably get a Ford Lightning instead. Hate to say it but it's true. I bought my truck new in 2004 and it would have been cool to get a 2004 Lightning since '04 was the last year they were built.

I'd get the same model year 2001 RCSB silverado but get it in 4x4.
Same drivetrain that I have now so...yeah, only make it 4x4.
