I would have forked out for the TVS2300 instead of the 1900 from the start. I would have bought some injectors with better data so tuning would be easier. I would have paid a bit extra and waited for an aluminum driveshaft (I get a little vibration at highway speeds) and I would have planned ahead and built an exhaust system with more capacity.

When I started this thing it was with a different truck: a 2003 1500HD 4wd crew cab standard bed.

Wish I still had that truck simply for hauling 5 people more comfortably while still having a fullsize bed. Loved the 4wd on launch!

Long story short I would have not trusted other people (stereo shop) to install what I could do myself, spent 6k on a shoddy stereo install that was supposed to be the precursor to what I have now.

Would have got the "stance" sorted right off the bat

Would have gone with a 2500rpm stalled converter vs the 2800

Would have installed 4.56 gears and a gears vendors overdrive

Would have gone with a Eaton Posi over the Detroit Locker (mixed feelings)

Would have gone with a milder cam for a wider operating spectrum (mixed feelings)

Would have gone with Big brakes front and rear (mixed feelings)

I would skip the longtubes. They have been nothing but trouble.
They hit the front driveshaft
hit, and still hit, the steering shaft
I swear there is an exhaust leak (been chasing it for 6 months, but it's just header noise)
They killed my low end
They are noisy as hell, even though I added another mondo second magnaflow (7" round by 12") in front of the 22" already there
Dropped mpg by 2 city and highway (yes, the tune is dialed in)

Though they did give me a great top end, I only see it above 3000rpm and it's my daily, so maybe 2% of the time
You just named all the reasons I will try to never put long tubes on any of my trucks again. Too ******* loud to be starting up at 5:30 in the morning in a housing plan and too many fitment problems.

I need to just put a D1-SC on my truck and be done with it lol

I would've found a RCSB to mod, and wouldn't have wasted any money on the 65E. Otherwise, I really like my setup.

What, and lose your 4WD? I wouldn't give that up to save a thousand pounds.

I really dont have any complaints as im very happy with every mod ive done. The truck itself is very versatile and reliable. Rides great and has more than enough room.
