Default I quit.

I'm tired of trying to get **** done on the truck and something always comes up. Today I went to an exhaust shop to have cats put in with a new y-pipe, with a new muffler and pipe.

Him- Well the exhaust guy took off due to a funeral. He can do it tomorrow.
Me- Well I work tomorrow but I'll drop it off. Ok...I need a 2.5" y pipe built from converters to a single 3" pipe.
Him- Oh well the boss won't let us build y pipes. If they aren't done right it can mess up the valves.
Me- OK...well can you use clamps instead of welding in case I need to take the exhaust off to get to the transmission?
No, they'll leak...

WELL WTF man.

I just want the exhaust done to be legal and still have some performance behind it. But it doesn't look like it'g going to happen.

Oh and the other shop in town sucks ***...so I don't really want to go there.
Called some places surrounding here and they won't build a y-pipe either.

That's what I said....but he is going to talk to the boss and see if he'll change his mind. If not I'll have a set of Pacesetters for trade for some manifolds+cash because I give up.

Thats one reason that I'll only buy stuff that bolts together. I've had too many bad experiences with exhaust shops.

As long as you get the kits that use good quality clamps it'll hold up just like its welded.

They also fit perfect, and are of much better quality than you can get from an exhaust shop. Usually cheaper too.

Well I couldn't/still can't afford a kit that comes with cats and all that. I bought what I could when I had the money and now I'm trying to make it legal and I get smacked down.
