I liked my old BB, but it can't compare to the Android OS.
That was my thinkin too. Like dmelvin, I've been rockin the Droid X. I've had mine for 4 mos. I normally avoid tech, as most that know me will say.

I need it to be a mini computer (& phone). But while on vaca in Miami ~ 1 mo. ago, it started givin me fits the day I was to leave to go down there. When I needed it to work, it kinda let me down. When I needed to access my navi / maps appl., it would flash red & flip out, also happened when I did a search or used the camera. I was disappointed & wanted to throw in the Atlantic. It's been pretty good since, but yesterday locked up when I tried to go on YouTube. Other than those times, it's been good phone.

I've got an OtterBox & altho the phone & the OtterBox are pretty $$$, I've dropped it on concrete numerous times. Some falls have been 5-6'.
Minor crease on back near camera outlet to the aluminum - so ya pretty bulletproof.

Jas, I can see the 30 bucks a month is better than 110, but $80 extra for a data plan? Really?!? Must be extra cost dut to Arkansas.

I thought I could also go on PT w/. my phone & did so for awhile. Now, it's just a huge hassle to go on PT w/. my Droid causes that stupid mssg. keeps poppin up that PT has a mobile vers. Alright already I don't need to see that message everytime!!!

How is the email system on it?
the email system works flawlessly. When you get the evo they program your current email accounts in to it.

Did you try to go into your settings on your phone and disable mobile viewing?
The mobile version was getting on my nerves until I did that.

Didn't know of it. Remember the avoid tech part?

Altho I've continued to learn on it, I wasn't aware of that, but I learned how to do somethin mew just yesterday.

Why would I want to disable moblie viewing?

If you use hotmail you will need to set it up on an exchange server so it syncs correctly but it literally takes an extra 2 minutes to do it. I can walk you through it. If you get it post up and I'll tell you all the apps to download. Easy tether allows you to tether it to your laptop without having to pay the Sprint service fee and when I'm on 4g with full bars its literally like being at home the internet. Streaming YouTube videos work awesome.

So that it shows up just like you would see on a computer and that annoying "mobile version" window will stop showing up. I'm sure someone can explain the tech part of it. I just messed around with my phone and figured it out. Same thing with autotrader.com, in order to choose engine, trans, mileage, number of doors ect. You have to disable mobile viewing. Some sites will let scroll to the bottom of the page and change it that way.

Well the Verizon and AT&T plans seem to be a lot higher in price than Sprint anyway, but my dad works at Boeing and we have a family plan so we get a few breaks here and there. I just pay him every month. Not ashamed of saving money. They probably feel sorry for me anyway since I have to live in Arkansas now.

If you're with Verizon check out the HTC Thunderbolt. It's basically an upgraded EVO (40gb of storage right off the bat, 768mb RAM, second gen snapdragon processor). I love mine so far, big improvement over my previous iPhone.
