I looked at my paperwork this morning, the EVAP actually passed, i was surprised on that one, it has always shown, "not ready"

yes as long as your ses light is off and when they plug up to your obd2 and you have a ready status your good to go. I know we used to be able to get away with 2 "not ready" but iirc i believe they have changed it to one i think. So basically your tuner will tune everything out and your good to go.... Of course there is those a**hole shops that look at everything but you usually know where to go if you have lived around here long enough

Mine was the same, eventhough my EVAP is 100% functional. It just may be a difference between the efi software and what their computer uses.

In Jersey we just have the OBDII plug in...I've been told that they got rid of the safety inspection but haven't experienced that yet. Last time I got my truck inspected a few months ago, after it sat for 18 months with the blown trans, it went through inspection and passed, then the check engine light came on as I pulled out of the inspection station...talk about lucky!

Actually, a lot of things have to happen for the EVAP monitor to run, so it's possible that it just didn't run when you went to inspection, and this time around, Corey's did run. You're allowed 1 monitor to be not ready when you go to inspection, and it's usually the EVAP monitor that doesn't run.
